The Umguza Rural District Council Junior Council is a dynamic platform for young leaders to engage in governance, voice their ideas, and contribute to community development. Comprising passionate and forward-thinking youth, the Junior Council empowers its members to participate in decision-making processes, advocate for youth issues, and foster positive change in Umguza.

Building Confident Young Leaders
Umguza RDC Junior Council provides a platform for young people to participate in local governance and community development. As part of their leadership development, Junior Councillors take part in mindset training that equips them with skills in ethical leadership, emotional intelligence, and civic engagement. This initiative helps nurture confident, responsible, and future-ready youth leaders committed to positive change in their communities.
Youth Engagement Talk Shows in Schools
To amplify youth voices and address pressing issues, the Junior Council has hosted interactive talk shows in schools across Umguza District. These forums provide a platform for students to discuss challenges, share ideas, and engage with leaders.
