The Umguza Rural District Council Junior Council is a dynamic platform for young leaders to engage in governance, voice their ideas, and contribute to community development. Comprising passionate and forward-thinking youth, the Junior Council empowers its members to participate in decision-making processes, advocate for youth issues, and foster positive change in Umguza.

To amplify youth voices and address pressing issues, the Junior Council has hosted interactive talk shows in schools across Umguza District. These forums provide a platform for students to discuss challenges, share ideas, and engage with leaders.
The Junior Council has taken a stand against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through awareness campaigns, workshops, and community dialogues.

Collaboration with local NGOs and the police Victim Friendly Unit (VFU).
