Umguza RDC recognises the growing impact of climate change. Unpredictable rainfall, rising temperatures, and recurring droughts continue to challenge communities, livestock, grazing lands, and water supplies across the district. In response, communities are embracing climate-smart farming, water harvesting, tree planting, land reclamation and wetland restoration. Women are leading household-level adaptation, while youth drive innovation and climate awareness building a stronger, greener future.
